Police have confirmed that a 23-year-old man succumbed to his injuries in hospital 9th October following a gas explosion at a former convent. A second man is still fighting for his life.
The two workers who were clearning asbestos last Thursday from the pastoral centre on Bonkle Road were rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The blast left several others injured and saw frightened victims flee from the scene.
A joint investigation is ongoing with police and the Health and Safety Executive and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
